HAWKER BEECHCRAFT 900XP

HAWKER BEECHCRAFT 900XP

  • Passengers 8

Building on the successful Hawker 850XP, the faster, longer-range and more fuel-efficient 900XP is one of the most sought-after midsize jets on the market.

About this aircraft

  • The Hawker 900XP was certified in 2007 and deliveries began in 2008.
  • It’s usually configured for eight passengers, with an extra seat available in the enclosed lavatory if needed.
  • The baggage compartment is accessed internally and can hold up to six small- or medium-sized suitcases.
  • The 900XP’s long range means it can comfortably complete journeys like Frankfurt to Dubai, Singapore to Perth and Moscow to Mumbai.
  • Over 280 Hawker 900XPs were delivered before production ceased in 2012.

With its spacious cabin and elegant interior, the Hawker 900XP is an ideal solution for stress-free private jet travel.

Interior design

The Hawker 900XP is normally configured with eight seats – four in a club configuration and a three-seat divan facing an additional chair in the rear. A Rockwell Collins Airshow 21 cabin management system allows passengers to control the temperature, lighting and entertainment via touch screens.

There’s a galley in the front of the aircraft with a microwave, cold food box, coffee-maker and stowage for crockery, cutlery and glasses. At the back is a spacious enclosed lavatory and a storage cupboard for baggage.

Interesting facts to learn before you fly

  • Fully adjustable seats can swivel 360° and passengers enjoy stand-up headroom along the entire cabin length.
  • The 900XP’s range and fuel-efficiency are key benefits when choosing the aircraft over predecessors like the 800, 800XP, 850XPi and 850XP.

Technological features

Honeywell Aerospace TFE 731-50R turbofan engines offer increased thrust at altitude and lower specific fuel consumption. Together with Hawker Beechcraft-designed composite winglets, this gives the aircraft a better climbing time, faster cruise speeds and greater range than previous models.

Inside, there’s a Rockwell Collins ProLine 21 avionics suite with four high-res LCD screens.

History

Following on from the 850XP’s success, the Hawker 900XP was launched at the 2006 National Business Aviation Association convention. The aircraft gained US and European certification the following year and deliveries began in 2008.

Manufacturer

The Hawker series was originally developed by manufacturer de Havilland, with the first HS.125 launching in 1964 after Hawker Siddeley bought the company. It underwent several reincarnations over the years, first as the BH.125 and later as the BAe 125 when Hawker Siddeley merged with the British Aircraft Corporation to form British Aerospace in 1977.

The aircraft joined the Hawker 800 series following Raytheon’s acquisition of the company’s business jets division in 1993. In 2013, the type certificate and support responsibility for all 125s were transferred to Beechcraft, which was later bought by Textron Aviation.

Cost

A Hawker 900XP can cost between $5.25 million and $6.25 million (USD), depending on the aircraft’s age and condition.
