CHARTERS TO REMEMBER: MOUNTAIN RESCUE

6 March 2017
Glenn Phillips

In 2005 Air Charter Service was asked by the British government to supply cargo helicopters to help the aid effort following the earthquake in the Kashmir region of Pakistan.

Dan Morgan-Evans, now ACS Group Cargo Director, recalls: “We needed to bring in the helicopters to help facilitate the flow of humanitarian and medical aid to the affected region. Many of the worst hit areas were not accessible by road, so airlifting in the supplies was the only way.

“We had ACS people on the ground out there making sure everything went as smoothly as possible and to ensure that the people that needed help the most got it.”
