In May 2021, the event logistics manager of an Austrian Formula 1 supplier asked us to arrange a charter to transport 34 people to Portugal and Spain for the countries’ Grand Prix races.
With limited funds and a tight schedule, we had to quickly find a solution that would get them there on time without blowing the budget.
Our Solution
Routes: Salzburg > Faro > Barcelona > Salzburg (fuel stop in Toulouse)
Aircraft: Saab 340
Our experienced team quickly found a Saab 340 twin-engine turboprop, which was the cheapest option on the market that was available to charter at the requested times. The aircraft’s payload was very tight, so we had to carefully calculate how much additional cargo the group could bring and schedule a fuel stop in Toulouse in order to make the journey possible with the requested number of passengers and their equipment.
