TAKE A GOURMET TOUR OF TOKYO
Start with a scheduled flight from the UK to Tokyo for a three-night hotel stay. Japan’s bustling capital is a blend of modernity and tradition, where futuristic skyscrapers jostle with historic temples. While here, we suggest a night-time photography course accompanied by a professional photographer.
Tokyo is renowned for its exciting culinary scene. Embark on a gourmet food tour sampling local delicacies, enjoying a private sake tasting and learning how traditional rice wine is made before enjoying a private tour of the city, visiting key sights including the majestic Imperial Palace.
THE HOT SPRINGS OF HAKONE
Travel to Hakone, a mountainous town in the Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park that is famous for its hot spring resorts and spectacular view of the iconic Mount Fuji.
Spend one night here, staying in a traditional ryokan, many of which have open air hot spring baths, perfect for unwinding after a busy day. Visit the town’s Shinto shrine overlooking Lake Ashi and relax on a tranquil boat tour.
At sunset a private helicopter will be waiting to showcase the wonderful Aerial views of Mount Fuji, from way up hire you can see fantastic detail and watch the sun set, definitely one for the bucket list.
Back at the ryokan, there will be a magical kaiseki dinner ceremony. Each course is served immediately after it is prepared in order to preserve the freshness and the dishes represent elements of nature such as forests, mountains, islands, flowers and leaves.
MEET A GEISHA
A final stop is at the former imperial capital of Kyoto where you’ll have a three-night hotel stay. Whilst here, discover the traditional sport of sumo wrestling with a private tour of the Kehaya-za Sumo Museum, located in Katsuragi City.
Kyoto is the home of Japan’s renowned tea ceremony and this tour includes attending one and witnessing the timeless rituals and tasting the iconic matcha green tea involved in it. The city is also the birthplace of Japan’s iconic geisha culture and there will be the chance to watch these incredibly skilled and graceful hostesses in action during a private evening experience.
