Khrabrovo Airport is the airport serving Kaliningrad. The airport is capable of handling any sized aircraft up to large narrow bodies, such as the Boeing 757 or equivalent. It has a single runway and a passenger terminal. Inside the terminal you will find the “Jet Buffet”, a canteen style restaurant, along with a number of shops including the Granvel Chocolate Boutique. There is also a VIP lounge and Business Lounge for passenger looking for a little more privacy or space to work. The two lounges have separate entrances, fast track security and parking. The airport is located approximately 24 kilometres north of the city centre. The airport is expected to play pivotal role in the FIFA 2018 World Cup in Russia and it is located 25 kilometres away from the stadium within Kaliningrad. There is a shuttle bus which runs to the central train and coach station, with frequencies expected to increase throughout the World Cup.
The airport’s operating hours are from 05:30 to 23:00, but it is important to note that slots at the airport are controlled. English is not commonly spoken within Russia, and ground crew at the airport speak very little English.
